Four Friends

Four friends, who hadn't seen each other in 30 years, reunited at a party. After several drinks, one of the men had to use the bath room. Those who remained talked about their kids. The first guy said, "My son is my pride and joy. He started working at a successful company at the bottom of the barrel. He studied Economics and Business Administration and soon began to climb the corporate ladder and now he's the president of the company. He became so rich that he gave his best friend a top of the line Mercedes for his birthday." The second guy said, "Damn, that's terrific! My son is also my pride and joy. He started working for a big airline, he then went to flight school to become a pilot. Eventually he became a partner in the company, where he owns the majority of its assets. He's so rich that he gave his bestfriend a brand new jetfor his birthday." The third man said: "Well, that's terrific! My son studied in the best universities and became an engineer. Then he started his own construction company and is now a multimillionaire. He also gave away something very nice and expensive to his best friend for his birthday: A 30,000 square foot mansion." The three friends congratulated each other just as the fourth returned from the bath room and asked: "What are all the congratulations for?" One of the three said: "We were talking about the pride we feel for the successes of our sons....What about your son?" The fourth man replied: "My son is gay and makes a living dancing as a stripper at a gay nightclub." The three friends said: "What a shame...what disappointment." The fourth man replied: "No, I'm not ashamed. He's my son and I love him. And he's lucky, too. His birthday just passed and the other day he received a beautiful 30,000 square foot mansion,a brand new jet and a top of the line Mercedes from his three boyfriends.

new touch 'n' feel

have been wanted to changed my blog skin, font size, text alignment and the side bars but haven't really been able to do so cause was pretty hooked up with work for the past 1 mth. only recently am i able to so some touch-ups here and there. as for the new templated and white color background, i choose them cause i found that it does really reflects what i think and feel right now... also alwiz wanted something soothing and refreshing... most importantly plain, simple, bright and yet not too fancy... white background is very effective to grab the attention especially for colored pics. hmmm... i hope little blog of mine will have a new beginning and a new life for its owner itself... the next move is to think of a better name or pseudonym rather than "eddylsk" which sounds too lame itself... doesn't represent the blog and it's intention well... hahahahaha... well let see how many good names i could come up hopefully by this week and need to shortlist them before it's chosen as my official blog name.

initial D as good as the anime!

supposed to catch a couple of movies this weekend but due to time and budget constraint need to settle with the best movie of the weekend -> Initial D!!! i've planned to catch this movie since early this year when the news about the anime to be converted to a movie came out. hmmm... very very interesting movie! must watch! i guess u'll definite enjoy the whole movie better if u've seen one of the episode from the anime version. very nicely done and the characted all are well-chosen and suited for the movie itself. i'll say it's as close as 99% to the actual anime. not much of diversion. pls go and catch it if u haven't if not u r missing a whole lot of fun and excitement. get to see sporty and modified cars, chun chicks and some comedy added on which blends well with the whole movie. good acting, directing and drifting especially... 4.5 out of 5 stars!

"physiotherapist"

Physio was an intelligent boy. After doing a physiotherapy course abroad for 3 years, he returned home and set up a clinic in his hometown. He asked a designer to make a new name plate to be hung on the wall outside the clinic. The next morning, when he went to his clinic, he was pleased to find that the name plate was already put up. But he was greatly annoyed by the wordings on the plate : TUKANG URUT. He went to the designer and took him to task. "How can you insult my profession? 'Tukang Urut' means masseur in Malay. I am a physiotherapist and not a masseur! Make sure you change the name right now! And see that the word is spelt correctly!" Physio said angrily. The designer apologized and promised to make the immediately. Without further delay, he proceed to change the name but found that the word "physiotherapist' was too long. So he broke it up into three words to make it easier to read. The next morning, Physio hit the roof when he saw the new name. On the name plate were written : PHYSIO THE RAPIST

bored with my current blog template!!!

haih.. sigh... need sthg new fast else i'm gg to fall asleep looking at the same thing over and over again especially one that is shared among millions and millions of other bloggers out there. yeah, that's rite... i need a new skin / template! where to find? sighed... desperate moment requires drastic actions! will see what i can come up with this weekend... hopefully I can have a peaceful (work-free) weekend! *fingers-crossed*... as long as everything flow smoothly, no need to be hopeful, just stand by and savour my carefree weekend...!!!

rejuvenated after 1 month break...

I was away for almost a month. Reason being too busy with work and hardly have any spare time for myself. Although, I'm quite unhappy at times being constrained in such a way but I guess sometimes we just need to learn through the hard way. Want a good life and a good career, first of all we need to be able to manage both effectively without causing any overflow of time from one to another. Hehehehe... sounds familiar... indeed cause this is the ideal life that most of us envied and always more than willing to do any trade-offs just to get there. To juggle them effectively is not an easy tasks at all cause one need to be strong, positive, determined and great level of perseverance in order to make them flow smoothly and without any hatred generated due to the surplus of time taken by either one of them. Hmmm... sounds simple but to put them into practice is a totally different question. I've tried many times to do so but failed to make them function effortlessly and smoothly. Huh! I guess it's not a one night thingy but a continuous commitment required in making and shaping in to be better and better each time a crisis occurred.
Back to reality, basically the past one month was kind of "challenging" for me as there were so many things running through my mind every single seconds. Can't stop thinkining! Who can huh? Okok... that's enough! Was too held up with my work even on the weekends till i lost my blogging pleasure and excitement i've once had. Luckily, i was early to realise this and came straight in to prevent this from prolonging and may caused my life to be even more uncomfortable to sustain. This is what i called "lack of motivation" disease. Muahahaha... no cure but one can help themselves out by keeping in touch with the outside world especially with the blogosphere community. It's never a regret thing although i did felt so when i was "down" trying to figure out when i'll be here again to continue penning about my life journey... it never ends here!!!
Thoughts of the day: "Challenges are a daily norm!"
p/s: expecting more to come in the near future... hmmm... sounds like lots of fun and stress!!! combination of both, you'll get "advancement"...

FTA between Msia & Japan

soon all cars from japan will be much cheaper from 2008 onwards starting from end of this year where the tariff will slowly be reduced. sounds like a good deal for car buyers but not so for local car makers like PROTON and PERODUA. the market will only get more competitive with this agreement in place. no doubt the govt will do sthg abt this. like introducing the National Motor Policy, expected to be released next month. let see what will be the impact of all these... i hope we as a car buyer will be beneficial at the end of the day... *malaysia boleh*

madagascar

went to watch "magadascar" with friends over the weekend. was a good animation movie. full of creativity, comedy and laughter. animation was fantastic. haven't been able to see a good animation movie for some time now. i think it's a good movie to be recommended. although the review wasn't that good, but i still think it's worthwhile movie since most of us are bored with those action packed movies. time to relax ourselves and enjoy "magadascar". i'm sure u won't regret it. especially with big casts like: ben stiller(alex), chris rock(marty), david schwimmer(giraffe) and jada pinkett smith(gloria). i like the penguin especially with their plot for consipracy. it's very funny looking how the go around trying to get themselves out of the zoo and then finding their way around the wild. overall, very good animation movie!

*BIG* weekend... Star Wars Ep3... FA Cup Final...

spent one of the biggest and longest weekend ever... first there were project deployment which off and on took me over the weekend, then there were the FA CUP FINAL (MAN U VS ARSENAL) and finally STAR WARS EP3: REVENGE OF THE SITH!!! all 3-in-1 just when you think your life is not fufilling enough, try doing this every weekend... the effects will be that you grow old 2-3 times faster... muahahaha... although it was a tiring weekend but it was full with excitement and joy. the action all begins on saturday nite where we(me, gav, ky, kennie, kel n irene) had our big nites out at sri hartamas. we went there for dim sum(place name: Little Dim Sum). According to gav and the forum, it supposed to be one of the best dim sum place around but after we've tested it, we'll agreed it's just so-so. Nothing out of extraordinary. Just another expensive dim sum place where the prices are sky high and the services sucks. Sighed. Nevermind about that, we then headed to the food court area of sri hartamas to get a view on the nite most happening event of the year, FA CUP FINAL! Can see plenty of MU fans all around the place, not much of arsenal fans. Only a handful which includes myself and kel. Supposed to find a place to settle down and watch the match till the end but the place was too crowded with people. We had no choice but to carry on to our next destination. Reached Midvalley in abt 20mins time from sri hartamas. We were there to watch STAR WARS EP3: REVENGE OF THE SITH! hehehehe... "May The Force With YOU!!!" It was all well-planned cause we left sri hartamas during the FA CUP half-time break and when we reached Midvalley it was just nice for us to follow-up from Chilli's. Didn't expect the match to last so long. Till 30mins of extra time and finally the fate of the two teams was decided by penalty. Results are not as expected by many as many fans were left disappointed. It was just pure luck for ARSENAL. At least, i'm happy and can watch Star Wars Ep3 with much peace of mind! ehehehehe... Managed to kill two birds with one stone! Overall, was a good experience for us all and a superb weekend. No regrets!!!

Free Online Storage

Have been searching for this service high and low for the past 2 weeks and finally i've found it! Although, it's rather risky or unsecured to stored your files on someone else server where at anytime they can steal them and view the information in it, at least it's the only free online storage service that offer a decent amount of storage i could find. I'm doing this mainly due to the reason that my harddisk is running low on space and i'm kind of reluctant to spend my money to get at new harddisk at the time being. But of course, it's not advisable to store any personal information or sensitive docouments on this "stranger" web server unless you're willing to take the risk. Still i'm not convinced although i'm just going to store some general files there, i'm not willing to share or i should say let someone else view it. Therefore, my next assignment is still find a fairly good encryption software which allows us to encrypt our files before being uploaded. It need to be a fairly good security to avoid intruder from stealing/viewing our stuffs. At the meantime, i'm just going to upload some files to free up some space. Really running low!!!

MSC... and now MBC... what's next on the table?

Are we trying too hard to be recognised on the world arena? huh... Previously there were MSC(Multimedia Super Corridor) and now they are pushing for MBC(Malaysia Biotech Corporation). Kind of ambitious, don't you think? Anway, I guess the writer does have some point there when she says:
"After all, the government was trying its best to make Malaysia relevant in this ever-changing world. In simpler terms, it was another major effort by the Malaysian government to catalyze economic growth. The aim is to market Malaysia's cost-competitive, skilled labor as one of the major pull factors for biotechnology firms to carry out R&D and conduct their business operations here. Essentially, it forms yet another artery of the MSC, noted an industry observer. "
But at the same time, there are a long lists of other issues that we may need to ironed out before the same repeat happened as with the MSC. Of course, we don't want that to happen, that's why I hope the relevant parties do pay attention and learn from the mistakes. If they can just do that, I think the chances of us being an attractive biotech place for investor is quite assured. Let's wait and see... as usual... over here, most of the things are unpredictable... ehehehe!!!

HaPPY Teacher's Day to all the fellow TEACHERS! You guys rock!!!

today is the day where we show our gratitude and thank our teachers for all of their hardwork they poured into us and make us a wonderful "mould" of the future. i haven't really been able to freely express myself on this day. i used to hate them due to the amount of neverending homework to put on us and the amount rotan i got from them(that's because of my own mischievous). yup, i wasn't old or matured enough to understand then that what they did was for my own good. if weren't for them, i wont be here today. they changed me. they make me a better person. they bring the best out of me. and today i thanked them today for everything they did for me although most of them already retired and i've lost touch with but they'll always remain as my second parents which look after me during my school days. i wish all of them best in health and remains cheerful as always. "Happy Teacher's Day"!!!

Wonderful Quotes From Wonderful People!

I guess the best thing to start a day will be to read some of these quotes. It makes you feel motivated and gets the "engine" going!
1) "You know more than you think you do." -- Benjamin Spock
2) "It ought to be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things." -- Niccolò Machiavelli
3) "Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity." -- Horace Mann
4) "Democracy is the destiny of humanity; freedom its indestructible arm." -- Benito Juárez
5) "If you shut your door to all errors truth will be shut out." -- Rabindranath Tagore
6) "Where men are the most sure and arrogant, they are commonly the most mistaken, and have there given reins to passion, without that proper deliberation and suspense, which can alone secure them from the grossest absurdities." -- David Hume
7) "Life is a long lesson in humility." -- J. M. Barrie
8) "The world is more malleable than you think and it's waiting for you to hammer it into shape." -- Bono

DrMM vs DrAB

hahahaha... found it rather funny reading about this. but is it true? hmmm... after 6 yrs and still they are going against each other. neverending huh? as long as the one which could be framed for sthg he did not do and get back his justice or the other who admits to everything his mistakes he commit during his past 20years of administration. hmmm... i guess it'll be a long tussle and plenty of hot topics to look for in the next couple weeks as this issue goes on. especially after he exposed and spit it all out in the talk. let's hope the truth will come out and we'll all be able to settle down so that we could live in peace and harmony malaysia.

1st Year Anniversary @ blogspot.com

Today I'll be celebrating my first year as a blogger. Joined blogger.com exactly 1 year ago. Time flies man. Sigh! Since becoming a blogger, I've started to pick up on my language and writing skills. I take this opportunity not only to freely express myself and thoughts but also a way to upgrade my skills. Hmmm... not sure how much i've proven in terms of my skills upgrading but I'm sure of one thing. I'm quite updated with the current affairs and news. Especially local news. My favourite of all will be "Screenshots". No doubt it has become the malaysian most celebrated news websites with focus on the local and governance news. I'm glad and proud that at least there's one site here we could almost freely express our thoughts and dissatisfaction of the practices around here. Although up to a certain extent but definitely it's an improvement in terms of "freedom of speech" as compared to 10 years ago. Thanks jeff ooi and screenshots for taking care of us and being there for us just like our pulse that beats all the time whether how tough its going. Looking forward, I hope there'll be more bloggers like myself taking the 1st step and joins the blogosphere community. Never take this part-time job as a blogger lightly cause everything we said and done here are what that will save us and transformed our culture and lifestyle to be of the same as the developed countries. In order to achieve such feast, we need to work hard blogging each day. Hahahaha... i'm just kidding. Work hard to improve ourselves and help Malaysia be more competitive, transparent and safe to stay for ourselves and also the future of our children. Malaysia Boleh, right? 1st World Infrastructure with 1st World Mentality and Citizen. Wawasan 2020!!!

*my wish*

how i wish each day i could have more than just that mere 24 hours?!?! Of course, everyone will love to have more than 24hrs rite? More time, more time to earn more $$$, more time to spend with family, more time to spend our hard-earned $$$, more time to spend with our loved ones, more time to relax ourselves, more time to sleep, more time to think about our future, more time to compare ourselves against the rest, more time to improve ourselves and more time to blog... muahahaha!!! Everyone *WISHED* they could get more but the fact or the reality is there are ONLY 24hrs in a day. How we spend/waste that 24hrs is up to us to decide. No one can take our hrs nor make the hrs away it's us who decide how each hr is going to be spent/wasted. We can't blame people for losing our sleeps, tv time, leisure time and so on and so forth. It's us who is to be blame!!! We design our schedule as such that it may or may not lead to failure or procrastination. Sad to say, I'm one of the well-known victim of mismanagement of time or I should say always *dreaming* that my 25hrs/day will come true. LOL! Although, I always hear people saying that we need to manage our time better, we need to plan things ahead, we need to anticipate the outcome, we need to foresee the future(hahaha... this I don't think so!)... but how many of us really do it? hmmm... although I know a few of my friends or well-known people who does it. Not just doing it for the sake of doing it but they do it so damn well. We just don't plan and then execute it just like that. We need to go further than that. We need to constantly refine it so that as we go along, things will only get done more productively and efficiently.

REMEMBER THIS: ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS!!!

A PERSONAL QUOTE: REGRET FOR NOT DOING THE BEST, NOT FOR NOT DOING IT!

Petty Minister

This is the first ever case being published or known to the public and media. I'm trying very hard to think that what's sort of message the minister its trying to get across to the people? Is he trying to warn us that don't ever messed around with "them" else the consequences maybe your removal or your own demise? hmmm... tt's so scary... AAB(our PM) always stress that we can't be a developed country or be the first class citizen if our mentality is like a 3rd class citizen. huh... looks like "actions does speaks louder than words".... I wonder if "he" were to allow to do what he intended to by removing UPM VC just for that petty matters, I would love to see what the rest of the "same geng of him" would do? Of course, follow suit... it makes me laugh cause to be a 1st world citizen that we need to constantly improving and reviewing ourselves, there are still a "bunch" of people out there with such a mentality and stupidity act tt will not only bring down our years of effort trying "hard" to reach that stage but also worsen the current state of our community. "kai wan xiao!!!" (in mandarin)

something interesting to share...

this was posted by Vertebrato at jeffooi.com as a follow-up on the "candu" issues and i found it rather interesting and would like to share with others... i hope Vertebrato won't mind. thanks. here goes:
I'll say somethg totally off topic here,

When AI talks abotu "USA or UK be the best prescription for a developing country", i found somethg to discuss about,
IMHO, of those developed countries:
UK people tend to have analytical thinking, that's why you see their books like Sherlock Holmes, Harry Potter can blow your mind off with their story plots.
And that's why their education plays an important role in their economy.
US people tend to be freedom, therefore they're willing to try everything, that's why they are so well in technology
German tend to be precise, this can be seen from their language. that's why they're so well in engineering
Japan ppl, due to the nature, they lack of resources, therefore, after war, they've trained themselves to be innovative to create somethg that's cost effective.
IF Malaysian has every bit of them, goodbye whiner, we're winner ;)

Follow-up on the "candu"... the hottest topic currently on debate!

Well what can I say, we are all susceptible to all the 3 "candu" as we've been doing so for the past generations. It's time we wake up from our dream and start living in the reality. The govt can't always "spoon feed us with everything". We can't always take things for granted as we always do. Same goes to all the "officials" out there. We are trained since young to be able to answer every single actions to our conscience but does anyone ever do that anymore? Where are all the basic morale values we learned during our school days? Hand them back to our school teachers, i guess rite? Let me tell you this, if we continue to do so without regards on paying serious attention towards the 3 "candu, yeah no doubt we'll be paid one day with a "deserved punishment". I do believe in "action and reaction". Remember the matrix part II movie? Of course, I'm not referring to the movie but in the context I'm more of talking about "trials and tribulations"... sounds familiar to most of you? It always used as the title of a famous drama or most of the famous one will revolve around these 3 famous litle words. Last but not least, Beware of it!

Blogger Anyone???

"We are on the hunt for someone to blog about current affairs and sensational issues, whether in relation to politics, social issues, economic affairs etc. You must have at least 6 months experience blogging. You must have IT or technology interest, know-how and experience with fantastic research capabilities and ability to source for issues to blog about. "

above are the requirements for a blogger hiring by Enche Marketing posted on Sunday, 8th May 2005. hmmm... while reading through the requirements, something came through my mind... does that means anyone who are part of the blogosphere community are qualified to be a blogger??? hey we need more this kind of opportunity as blogging is gaining its foothold here as one of the past time activity for malaysian here. at least if we couldn't meet our current job requirment, I'm sure most of the blogger out there will agree with me that we all are definitely well-suited for that position.

Budget 2006 Wish List

I'm touched by the way this writer put up his points and negate those which are only beneficial to themselves such as:

"But big business, which has been raking in billions of dollars yearly, still does not have any shame from approaching and asking for handouts, tax breaks and incentives. I find it despicable and intolerable."

I totally agreed with the writer and if some of you already noticed, the PM did read about this article and he too impressed with it and come up with his own agenda which is now the main and hot topic around. Thanks Mr. PM for being so attentive! :P

The Meaning of "MOTHER"

The Definition of MOTHER:
M...is for the million things she has given me,
O...means only that she's growing old,
T...is for the tears she shed to save me,
H...is for her heart of purest gold,
E...is for her eyes, with love-light shinning,
R...means right, and right she'll always be.

Put them all together, they spell "MOTHER", a word that means the world to me.
By ~ Howard Johnson (c. 1915)

See what Screenshots got to say about this... i found it pretty interesting and insightful...

Inflation coming your way...

Yeah it just make total sense. 1st the toll prices hike then public transportations and now oil prices. All these will have a direct impact on all our life especially when the "mamak" and "char kuey teow" stalls start to raise their prices. Then followed by the market traders and the rest of the retailers around msia. Doesn't looks good at all. It any of these commodities increased their prices it'll affect the following parties and so on and so forth. It's like the "food" chain. Every single parties whether you are directly tied to the main link or not, the impact will still be there. There's no running from this. Time to save and save and save. Spend less. Eat Less. As for me, it means less outings with friends. Less star pieces but instead mamak. Sighed. Got to be thriftty liao. Just like the IKEA owner, Ingvar Kamprad! More about him here!

Petrol up 10 sen; diesel up 20 sen/litre

Very sad and disappointing cause the govt reduce the subsidies to the petrol and diesel once again. This time round with a much higher price hike. Sighed. Don't think i'll be driving my car around for sometime looking at how expensive the petrol will cost this days. Furthermore, my car consumed petrol like drinking water nia as compared to a vios. Should've gotten vios instead then i don't have to worry much abt petrol consumption cause it's(vios) one of the most economical engine around town. Damn!!!

IBM will cut 10,000 to 13,000 jobs, mostly in Europe

looks like there'll be plenty of IT profs out there without a job. sighed. sad day. everytime they can't meet their quota earnings, we as an employee will get the blame. at one point in my life, i almost joined them but due to some circumstances didn't make it. not sure this is luck or not. anyway, i'll still continue to strive the best for myself. ehehehehe... everyone does that!

SIS's Wedding, Congatulations SIS!!!

Had a fun, tiring and great weekend! Yeah, that's right it was the greatest moment my sis could've ever imagined in her life. It's her wedding day! Hooray to my sis! While everyone was busy preparing before the arrival of the groom to pick the beautiful bride off my house, I was still enjoying my sleep on my nice little comfy bed. Then at around 7am, my younger sis woke me up from my bed and told me that the groom could be in by 7:30am and I was supposed to get ready before then to open the door for him. Hmmm... I was still blur then. Thought of getting another 15mins sleep before I get ready. Then came another knock on my door, it was my sis. Could hear her shouting from outside that she needed my room for her gathering with her "chee muis" before allowing the groom to pick her up. Sighed! I told myself, I must wake up at that moment as everyone so damn busy with their own duties and me feeling guilty now. Shouldn't had stayed till 3am the previous night with my geng. Anway, I quickly get myself ready. By 7:30+ we call could hear the sound of the horns from the cars of my to-be-brother in law. Muahahahaha.... I was already there getting ready to open the door for him and was expecting to get my big "ang pow"!!! hahahahaha... Once he got out of the car, he and the rest of the gang started to find ways to get into my room to get my sis out as all her chee muis were there to try their best to reach out a good deal for themselves. Due to the weather and the heat from the occasion, I was getting myself cool down in front of a big fan. Didn't missed much though cause could hear the chee muis shouting out their demands: 25 push-ups, sing "negaraku", sing "wo ai ne", shout "wo ai nee" and then after a string of negotiations and discussions, they finally agreed to let the groom. He handed of one the chee muis the ang pow which is full of coins. One cents i supposed so looking at the bronze color. HAhahahaha... not really all are one cents, there were oso notes of 10s and 50s. Not sure how much was the total sum but once they calculated it and agreed to it, they let the groom in and pick my sis. A big relief for the groom and his geng. Then came the usual tea ceremony where my sis and her groom was supposed to serve tea to my parents, granparents, and the rest of the relatives who are there. Me and the rest of my two younger sisters supposedly to serve my sis and her groom with tea but they agreed on just handshaking and we got our angpow from them. ehehehehe... Then they headed off to her mother-in law house and followed by wedding ceremony at the temple. We followed them to the temple and then finally rested at her new place at bandar botanic. Overall, it was a successful and wonderful event where I guess all of us had a good time especially the bride and the groom. By the time, I reached home as already too tired to do anything else except to lay myself on the bed and sleep for the rest of the afternoon. Orh yeah, the dinner was supposed to go on the following night but due to the restaurant being over-booked, my sis and brother in-law need to settle for tonight. So getting myself ready for my sis big night. Supposed to be her usherer and cameraman. Looking forward it...

She's So Beautiful... (PART I)

Upon boarding the commuter I spotted an empty seat right on my right, I headed straight towards that direction when at the same time, a white figure dressed in perfect a white outfit together with her pearly white skin and flawless beauty makes her looks like an angel from far. Initially, I was stunned by her beauty until she was heading for the same seat as mine, when she give that kind of innocent look at me when I about to take that seat and out of sudden I hold back myself and I said: "Yeah, please go ahead." Then came the first word from this angel of mine, in her sweet yet soft tone, as she said: "Thanks" with a pretty smile right onto my face but at that moment I wished the time had stopped as I was totally caught unprepared for her reply and was totally out of my mind.
DUH! I was actually quite embarrassing as I just turned away and face her with my back without even showing any kind of appreciation or gestures as a notification of her sweetness and my kindness to give her the only seat left in that coach itself. What a stupidity I thought but at the same time trying to act cool as though nothing had just happened while she settled down herself to that nice and comfy seat while I just stood right in front of her. I quickly turned on my mp3 players and started blasting my way through it. Still trying my best to avoid thinking of that stupidity and I could had missed the only chance to keep in touch with the one and only kind of girl I ever branded her as my angel.
Oh God, is this a gift from the heaven??? Or should this be a test from the God himself to see how strong I'm??? Was surprised when the thought of God suddenly came flowing through my mind. Still couldn't believe what had just happened, after 5-10 minutes trying to avoid eye contact with her and all the people around, I took a deep breath and cool myself down. While I was busy trying to save myself from the worst ever disaster of the day, I came to notice that she took has a mp3 player and was fixing it to her nice little pair of ears.
Once I settled down, I look around my surroundings and I noticed most of the people were either doing their own stuff: sleeping, reading, idling, staring outside at the scenery except till when my eye caught to these two young guys who was still looking at our side. I guessed they either saw what I've just did for that angel of mine and was wondering what I'm going to do next or it's that beauty that even how truthful a man is can't even resist God's greatest creation of all: WOMAN!!! I couldn't stand their stare as I was still chilling and trying to keep myself calm so that not to worsen my condition which its already very near the peak of explosion caused I could feel my heart was beating at the fastest rate I've ever felt or experienced. No doubt it's that angel.
To make things worse, I just continue to live myself in the world only me myself could hear and enjoy. Blasting through the music from my mp3 players and ignoring what's going on around me including her. Wasn't really sure I was able to do so successfully caused at some instances I was again carried away with that beauty where I occasionally trying my best to find my way through to catch a glimpse of her without the notice of anyone around me including that two fellas who I think at that time already busy chatting.
After 15mins of train ride, she felt asleep. Not sure she was really asleep or was pretending not to see me as though giving me a chance to look at her since I was worst than useless where the most obvious thing most people will do when they faced with such a great challenge is to shy away and keep their heads down. I hope she meant the second reason. After that which stupid ego came to play again that hinder me to further thinking of her and stop whatever I was doing. Why do my ego need to always come and interrupt my life?
Especially this part of my life. Was rather disappointing with myself due to my nature of always letting my ego took the best of me and left me with none at the end of the day. I hate you "EGO". If you are a dictator of all my feelings I could feel everytime I've faced with problem, I wished one day you could just take off and leave me alone where I think I'll do so much better without you. You only makes me feel guilty and always suffer by you, EGO! Wish you could just diminished forever. You know why I always failed to gain something I wanted so badly, it's you who just come from nowhere and steal it from me like a theft who does not know of the consequences and the casualty involved.
I hate you, I distress you, I will dump you!!! Then I thought, there goes my one and only chance to get to know my princess charming but not till when the train was about to reach Subang Jaya station and this kind lady which was sitting opposite her give out her seat and I thought everything going to replay by itself where this time round I'll have a better control of myself. So quickly took that seat and settled down. Once it's done, I look across directly opposite where she was sitting while the train drew closer to the station and I just hoped that she wasn't going to alight at that station.
She stared across after my first attempt to get her attention failed. This could be greatly contributed by my own stupidity and ego. And I think she deserved to treat me that way after all I've done to avoid her and make her looks abandoned while she's seeking some reply from me(I hope I'm right). On my second attempt, I make sure I didn't foiled my own plan again. Finally, there were a quick exchanged of stare and then she show me her dark side with a snobbish sway after I stared at her not knowing that she'll reply with such unexpected look. Was it due to my own wrongdoing? Will I be the cause of my own demise?
Huh... huh... huh... Oh shit, the moment the train stopped and the door slide open, my heart almost just stopped beating cause I saw her grabbing her sling bag getting ready to leave the train. It was a very sad sad encounter where not only I didn't try my best to make myself worth to her but I make things worse for myself and her which in turns I guess she replied me with that snobbish look. The moment she stepped out of the coach I tried to give her one last glance but couldn't see her anymore.
Although deep inside my heart I was so eager to get to know her but I could only hope the best for her. This, was the worst ever encountered I had on board the commuter and worst ever regret I would never forget. Still I try my best to keep my head up not to repeat the same stupid mistake by telling myself, if I try again next week same time, same place I could have my second chance or that's it.
So the morale of the story is: "If you've ever encountered something as pure and rare as a gems but you couldn't resist it cause at the same time your feeling is telling you not to pursue it cause this could be some kind dream, don't stopped there but put your best foot forward and go all the way to do it caused in life no one knows what's going to happen to us tomorrow or the next moment. If we missed this moment, we couldn't come back and re-live but can only stay hopeful that a second chance will come which it's only a lie to make ourselves feel better. Just do it!!!"

IT Support

Dear IT Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a slow down in the overall performance, particularly in the flower and jewellery applications that had operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 un-installed many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Persona Attention 6.5, but installed undesirable programs such as Formula One 5.0, NBA 3.0 and Would Cup 2.0.

And now Conversation 8.0 no longer runs and House Cleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. I've tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

Signed,

Desperate Housewife

=================================

Reply:

Dear Desperate,

First keep in mind: Boyfriend 5.0 is an entertainment package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system. Try entering the command C:\ I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME and download Tears 6.2 to install Guilt 3.0.

If all works as designed, Husband 1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

But remember, overuse can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Late Night Teh Tarik 6.1. Late Night 6.1 is a very bad program that will create SnoringLoudly.wav files.

Whatever you do, DO NOT install Mother-in-Law 1.0 or reinstall another Boyfriend program. These are not supported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have a limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly.

You might consider additional software to improve memory and performance. I personally recommend Hot Food 3.0 and Lingerie 6.9.

Good Luck,

IT Support
“DON’T QUIT !”

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but “DON’T YOU QUIT !”

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a fellow turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out,
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar,
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit,
It’s when things seem worst that you
“MUSTN’T QUIT !”

Checkout this unique collections of Harry Potter... pretty cool huh!

Just finished reading this super thick "HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX" novel by J.K.Rowling. Couldn't believe that i actually took such a long time to complete it. Absurd, two months!!! I guess i'm one of the slowest novel readers around... sighed...as compare to my previous "THE DA VINCI CODE" novel by Dan Brown which i took around two weeks. I'm slow due to the content of the novel. Da Vinci Code seems to have a much more dramatic and interesting contents as compared to Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix. No doubt about that! So what next? Any suggestion???

new additions... too clustered?!?!

sighed... been idling around for the past 2 days. Therefore, decided to do some upgrades and improvement to my current blog. Yeah, no doubt it's 2 days of hardwork although most of the additions are contributions from other ppl blogs but the tedious part is to add them in and customize them accordingly. Copying of ideas may sounds easy but implementing those ideas is a tedious job. Pretty much satisfied with the current additions although i hope i could continuously improved them as time goes by. Thanks to all those blogs and features that have provided me with the right tool and knowledge to proceed. Without them, i tink i'll still wandering around look for ideas and solutions. time to slow the pace and concentrate on other more important *stuff*!

a *rosy* year ahead for IT

Hope this positive outlook will bring more employment opportunites to working professionals like myself. As for the business side, hope this will mean more investment opportunities as well as outsourcing opportunities especially from the government sectors where i guess there will be a big pie of outsourcing work to be share amongst the IT entrepreneurs and business professionals. Let's us all work hand-in-hand to make this year an outstanding year for IT! Malaysia BOLEH!

Overworked and personal life under threat???

Got this link from a close friend of mine. He too feel the same. Myself, frankly speaking sometimes do feel the same. I'm not sure whether this a "culture" or a "trend" here or not but seriously thinks that over-doing it will disadvantage the employer unless proper remuneration scheme is put in place for each contribution by their employee. Nevertheless to say, none of us as an "employee" can escaped this threat of being "overworked" cause the world has changed. Not the same as 90's where the employee got the say but now it's an "employer world" as all of knows. Therefore, sometimes it's only fair if we just live with it and lament lesser else it's just going to complicate our life further. But if these persisted for a long time and it's affecting badly our personal life and the life of our loved ones, then some actions need to be taken else we're just lying and betraying ourselves that what we have know is good enough where else it's not. One statement which i totally agrees with the author is: "While a career is important, there are millions of people who are able to find success without sacrificing their overall happiness. " So think no more and start to get the actions going either to find a better opportunities or explore the current one further and discover new opportunities. All the best! ;-)

The Rude Malaysian

It's a series of interesting videos which potray how we as malaysian live through our life each day without knowing that the attitude of our society is decaying and moral values are at a very low end. Couldn't help but to feel really disappointed as a malaysian myself. Sometimes i feel very disgraceful to invite my friends from overseas to visit me here. I wonders what they'll say if they see all these nuisances... or maybe they should have heard somewhere during their time oversea. How long more before we live in a society where such nuisances are a norm to everyone? Wouldn't dare to take the bet. It takes 100 days to build rome but just 1 day to destroy it... :(

Life's Inspirational Quotes..

"Here forms, here colours, here the character of every part of the universe are concentrated to a point; and that point is so marvellous a thing ... Oh! marvellous, O stupendous Necessity— by thy laws thou dost compel every effect to be the direct result of its cause, by the shortest path. These are miracles..." -- Leonardo da Vinci

"In this world there is room for everyone. And the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. The way of life can be free and beautiful, but we have lost the way. Greed has poisoned men̢۪s souls, has barricaded the world with hate, has goose-stepped us into misery and bloodshed. We have developed speed, but we have shut ourselves in. Machinery that gives abundance has left us in want. Our knowledge has made us cynical. Our cleverness, hard and unkind. We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Without these qualities, life will be violent and all will be lost." -- Charlie Chaplin in The Great Dictator

"We ourselves shall be loved for a while and forgotten. But the love will have been enough; all those impulses of love return to the love that made them. Even memory is not necessary for love. There is a land of the living and a land of the dead and the bridge is love, the only survival, the only meaning." -- Thornton Wilder

"Music can be all things to all persons. It is like a great dynamic sun in the center of a solar system which sends out its rays and inspiration in every direction.... Music makes us feel that the heavens open and a divine voice calls. Something in our souls responds and understands." -- Leopold Stokowski

"Patience is a necessary ingredient of genius." -- Benjamin Disraeli

"Dear brothers and sisters, after the great Pope, John Paul II, the cardinals have elected me, a simple and humble worker in the Lord's vineyard. The fact that the Lord can work and act even with insufficient means consoles me, and above all I entrust myself to your prayers." -- Pope Benedict XVI

"When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe." -- John Muir

"We are such stuff as dreams are made on; and our little life is rounded with a sleep." -- "Prospero" in The Tempest by William Shakespeare

Top 4 WebMailS

After years of succumbing myself to that mere 2MBs of email spaces given by hotmail and 4MBs by yahoo mail, finally my dream come true... no need to continuously organize my emails and delete those emails which i wanted to keep for future references. Very funny man... looking at the way internet has evolved and how much things has changed around here...the best part of it all is that now we have gmail which offer 2125MBs of email spaces and it's said to be increasing each day but somehow today when i checked on the page counter, it's already stopped. Maybe it's still counting on the server side. Anway, i'm proud of google to give us such an unlimited(although 2125MBs or 4000MBs aren't that much but if compared in relative to previous 2MBs and 4MBs, it's alot!) email spaces as compared to hotmail and yahoo mail. Not surprisingly both of them already increased their free email spaces from 2 & 4 MBs to 250MBs but that still 8.5 times lesser than a gmail a/c. hahahaha... here comes the best part of it all, today when i was surfing i came across this webmail which offers 4000MBs of free spaces. Although i'm not sure whether there's any catch behind this or not, same goes to gmail but definitely it's something worth registering for. As a consumer, we got nothing much too lose(as long as you keep your registration details short and brief) shouldn't posed much of a problem except some spam emails in the future in they decided to "give out" our email address to the third parties. Worst come to worst, just dumped that email address and find a better one although one need to go through some hassle to do so by diverting and informing their friends and business associates about this. Overall, still worth the touble! ehehehehehe... below i come up with my own lists of the most email spaces offered online to the least...
(1) XasaMail - 4000MBs
(2) Gmail - 2125MBs
(3) Hotmail - 250MBs
(4) YahooMail - 250MBs

Japan apologises for WWII aggresion in Asia

I have been following this news since 2-3weeks ago when: "Tokyo approved a new history textbook that critics say plays down Japan's wartime atrocities, including mass sex slavery and germ warfare" This hav caused many unsatisfaction among the chinese community especially china where there were many protests held against the japanese act. Even we are thousand miles away, chinese community(especially the Hua Zong - Federation of Malaysia Chinese Associations), at msia too play a part by boycotting japanese product to show our dissapproval of the act. From the moment i read abt the news, i've decided to boycott all japanese product including my favourite sushi. sighed!!!

Yes'day was EARTH DAY 2005.

"Earth Day is a day of equilibrium when differences are forgotten and nature's renewal is celebrated by all."

All of use should pay more attention and care to our mother's nature and all their livings. If it's not for mother nature, we wouldn't have a such wonderful place to live in and enjoy the peacefulness of mother's nature. It's a message to "destroyer" out there to stop what they are doing - hurting mother's nature greatest invention!!!

New POPE!

(extract from the news)
"SIMPLE, HUMBLE WORKER: Ratzinger, the new Pope Benedict XVI, a longtime guardian of doctrinal orthodoxy, appearing on the balcony of Saint Peter's Basilica Tuesday to a huge ovation from some 100,000 people filling the square"

Macromedia bought over by Adobe... Macro-Adobe!!!

Another M&A by the software giants in US. "Adobe today announced that it would acquire Macromedia for about $US3.4 billion in shares." a whopping 3.4 billion...!!! so wat we have after the M&A -> "MACRO"ADOBE! hahahaha... i hope this M&A will bring more hope to us as a consumer from being monopolised by "MICRO"SOFT. At least with the word "MACRO" sounds more gigantum than "MICRO"...

A world without borders...

Borders, one of the largest book retail store in US is in town with their largest chain in world. Located @ 2nd 3rd Floor, Berjaya Times Square. The database of book collection there must be huge looking at the amount of floor space the store occupied and the number of contennas off-loaded with books in english, malay and chinese. Definitely need to pay a visit sometimes this week or the next. Can't wait to get my feet into the "world without borders, where knowledge is right at your finger tips"... whoa...

Care for a gamble???

Finally, SG take on the challenges to build its own casino. Not 1 but TWO!!! One @ Sentosa Island located together with the resort and another @ Marina Bay. Wow! Tt's really sthg man... After months of speculations and surveys from the public and govt themselves, finally the all awaiting decision is out! As for me, i don't think building a casino a bad idea at all since most singaporeans either travel themselves to genting or macau for gambling or spend it on horses and 4Ds. Therefore, rather than giving the revenue to other country, why not keep for themselves rite? Fair enough but again it comes to the question that will these casino caused further collapsed of the so-called strict society singaporeans have been abiding to all these years? a BIG question mark? let see how it goes... But definitely in short term, it will only be beneficial to the country in terms of providing further growth through foreign funds for casino investment and also to boost up the construction industry which is going to die if without project soon. Long term, no one can predict...

Interesting POEM circulating on the web about us!!! :p

Malaysian Mentality

You are a 3rd World Country
(A gentle reminder to all Malaysians)

Progress is not solely about prosperity
Nor buildings that look pretty
You may have the KLCC
But some places like Penang are still dirty
So you are still a 3rd world country because of your mentality

You try to beat the queue to get a taxi
And don't even bother about road courtesy
Not to mention parking indiscriminately
Without signalling you overtake randomly
And abusing lanes for emergency
Rising deaths on the roads is how u celebrate festivity

You created the MSC
To emulate Silicon Valley
You talk about high technology
To preach about the PC
But yet broadband is denied to many

You also can't supply stable electricity
Your roads have potholes and are bumpy
And tyres fall off your LRT
So this is Malaysian quality

Let's create the best schools, roads and toilets in the country
Are what Malaysia Boleh should strive to be
But instead Malaysia Boleh is so funny

You break records just to make yourself feel happy
Decades passed but this mentality I still see
Will this carry on till the next century?
Or will this change when we turn 80?

You are helpless and just let it be
Let it be
Will tomorrow be better for you and me?
15 years from now come 2020
if this goes on you will still be
just another 3rd world country because of your mentality.

Weekend @ SG

Overall, the trip to SG was tiring yet was fun. After months of planning by our hard working e9 committee, finally the day has arrived. Yahoo! e9 7th Anniversary! Although, we from msia couldn't find a proper custome coz there aren't any custome shop to be found around the kl city. Therefore, we had no choice but to settle ourselves for some accessories which we bought @ Sg Wang the day before we left for sg. Except msia staff, the sg staff were all dressed in full force pirate customes. Wow!!! It's amazing to see so many of them in full spirits after one whole day of tiring work. Exactly @ 5:30pm sharp we left our office and headed to clifford pier where we supposed to board our fantasy yacht. Yeah tt's rite, dinner on board! ehehehehe... sounds cool... indeed! But some of us had seasick due to the shackiness of the yacht. Once on board, all of us started to change to our new pirate look. As for us(msia staff), all we needed was to fix on our headscarf and earings. We're supposed to be the captain so called "sacrifices"... doesn't sounds interesting but who cares? for the sake of the fun nia! From then on, everything was fantastic and full of fantasy. Games, foods and drinks... the event ended @ 10:30pm. But i stayed on the weekend and do some catch-up with WC on Saturday since i'm already there and haven't seen him since CNY. Luckily, there is room for me to stay at his place else i might need to sleep on the street! ehehehe... kidding! we managed to catch a "shara"(was quite good, 7/10!), after movie we had our dinner @ some mamak restaurant along "errrr...couldn't remember the road name???" yeah, i was suddenly craving for "roti prata"(sg version of roti canai), tt's why we went for mamak. The meal was good not to mention the service was as good. Thanks WC for the treat! Came back to msia on late sunday afternoon and rested for the rest of the day. Was just too tired... ehehehehe...

Company's Anniversary Dinner @ SG

While waiting for my files to be copied to my laptop, thought it'll be great if i just drop by my blog and do some updates. Yeah it's already vvv early in the morning or i should say it's this kind of timing where everyone is already fast asleep but i'm still around wandering around. Huh! Can't help it caused there are unfinished work to be completed by tomorrow. Since tomorrow i'll be heading down to SG with the rest of my colleague to attend our company annual dinner, most of my day will be spent on the bus. Therefore, left with not much choice but to do a backup copy one my laptop and most likely i have to carry this 3KGs box together with me tomorrow to SG. Surprisingly, the bus we are taking tomorrow do provide each passenger with a power outlet where we can either plug any of our electrical items for us to use during the bus journey or for those for are "over-productive" may even thought of plugging in their laptops and do some work. Yeah, we human always think of ways to save time or i should say make our time more efficient. Greedy rite? Muahahahaha... Too bad, i might just be one of them tomorrow. I guess it's really doesn't make sense if i bring my laptop along and don't use it at all during the bus journey. Doesn't justified the hours i spend now, sacrificing my sleep just to do some backup copies and comprehending the stuff which i'm supposed to do by tomorrow. a big "SIGH"!!! but hopefully, 2nite dinner will be a fantastic one coz this is my first custome type party! looking forward it... okok, time to sleep else i'll be a zombie tomorrow instead of a pirate(the theme for this year annual dinner). hahahahaha... have a nice weekend! will b back on sundaY... ;-)

<Weekly Quotes>

"Out of the struggle at the center has come an immense, painful
longing for a broader, more flexible, fuller, more coherent, more
comprehensive account of what we human beings are, who we are, and
what this life is for. At the center humankind struggles with
collective powers for its freedom, the individual struggles with
dehumanization for the possession of his soul." -- Saul Bellow

"Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no
matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and
your own common sense." -- Gautama Buddha

"Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts." -- Richard
Feynman

"The love of liberty is the love of others; the love of power is the
love of ourselves." -- William Hazlitt

"Our institutions were not devised to bring about uniformity of
opinion; if they had we might well abandon hope. It is important to
remember, as has well been said, 'the essential characteristic of true
liberty is that under its shelter many different types of life and
character and opinion and belief can develop unmolested and
unobstructed'." -- Charles Evans Hughes

"A living body is not merely an integration of limbs and flesh but it
is the abode of the soul which potentially has perfect perception,
perfect knowledge, perfect power, and perfect bliss." -- Mahavira

"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within
limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add
"within the limits of the law" because law is often but the tyrant's
will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." --
Thomas Jefferson

"The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible
worlds; and the pessimist fears this is true." -- James Branch Cabell

So much so little...

Since early this year till now, i was always ended up letting a lot of my goals and tasks assigned for each day slipped by. I have been giving lotsa of careful thoughts and this and here it wat i comes up with:
1) As we grow older, so do our body and thinking therefore we tend to do things on a slower pace and most of the time couldn't finished what we usually plan for the day.
2) We always thought that as long as we stay strong with great determination and perseverance, we will always be able to overcome any phsycial or mental challenges to achieve our goals or tasks but tt's not true. Somehow rather our physcial and mental strenght are limited till a certain extent.
3) Words always comes first without action. Plenty of talking but nothing is being done about it. braggin too much kills!!!
4) Lack of stamina due to lack of exercise and unhealthy eating habits.
5) Lack of concentration due to too much things in the mind and not sure which one is to be prioritized and EOD, trying to get everything done but ended up with nothing!
6) Take things too easily... Sometimes things may get out of hand but we must always stay calm and cool to work around it else it'll only affects others. People that we love and care for. Also over-emphasizing on a solution could mean ignorance to other more important stuff...
7) Always perceived and made lousy assumptions which lead to self-destruction...
8) Anymore... and i'm going to kill myself...
9) i guess there will always be more and more...
10) and the lists goes on...
yeah, i'm just crapping... trying to find ways to motivate myself and get my butt of that stupid chair and make things happen!!! arggghhhhhh....

20cents pls... if you wan to use masjid jamek lrt stn toilet!

sigh... was kind of turn off by the management team at masjid jamek putra lrt stn. I couldn't believe it when they started setting up a booth outside the toilet and start charging ppl 20cents each per entry. Previously, all the commuters of putra lrt get to enjoy the free toilet service as long as u hold a valid pass. Although, this could be a small issue to some of you but for me i think this shouldn't be an issue at all. Why they need to start charging ppl for money? Haven't they profited enough from the expensive fares we are putting into their pockets each day??? Tak cukup ke? Finding ways to earn more so that we as the consumer will have to either hold our way through to kl sentral if we need a break or find yourself peeing in your pants to avoid putting that extra 20cents to their pockets. Very very disappointing... Worst yet to come, cause recently i saw they already setup some table and chairs at kl sentral putra lrt stn. guess the nightmare is far from over... haih... first of all, i found it damn bloody hilarious when the idea of charging the public money for each entry we made to the public toilet. hahahaha... we pay taxes each yr and now we have to pay toilet tax as well... why cant we follow other countries and give free admission to toilet and at the same time keeping the toilet clean??? i think their excuse of charging us that mere 20cents so that they can hire someone to take care of the toilet and make sure they r always clean r pure bullshit!!! if other countries can do it why not here? where is the spirit of "malaysia boleh"!?!?!?

Learn to blog in a safe way!

It has been years since blogging first started introduce to net users. People like me with little or no prior knowlegde of what can be or cannot be blog. Although, i've found blogging is a very useful way for the minority like us to voice out our thoughts and concerns regarding our society today. But care need to be taken as recently there have been a lot cases where sensitive content blogged by bloggers is being watched by the watchdog and some even got themselves into trouble. For example, our famous malaysian blogger Mack Zulkifli where given a visit at home by some policeman because he's such an "influential" blogger here. So you could be next if you don't adhered to the rules and standard properly! :p

Don't you feel like doing this to at least one person a day??

Penguins

after 3 yrs of waiting.. Woods finally Re-Mastered its golfing skills once again!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I always like the way Tiger Woods play his golf. He maybe extreme at times but he's just too damn good in what he does. Everytime i sees him playing, i can feel the kind of determination and preseverance inside him that are so heat up that makes anything is possible. Yeah, it makes me believe in myself that if someone like Tiger Woods can make the impossible become possible, why not me??? Believe in ourselves and everything is possible...

Current trend or just for the sake of better satisfaction?

Looking at this article, it does struck a chord on myself which I could be one of the victim of the current trend. But *fingers crossed* cause my case was execeptional. I needed to move to further developed myself and better future prospects and opportunities. I guess this will be the usual reason most graduates will say when they are faced with the same questions. Hmmm... I guess the survey proven quite right that the problem not only lies with our graduates but the employer too. If they do their part well enough and all the employee welfare are well taken care of, all these will not even surfaced or become a thought at all. Yup, I think they employer should take the blame since they always thought that we as an employee are always dispensable. But actually, to train a new employee to take over our job will costs even more to them if they actually sit down and do the maths! What we as a graduate want is a secured future and lots of room for growth and improvement. They need to be aware of this! This isn't much to ask for if a job/tasks assigned to us are well executed. It's like a small token for us to future upgrade ourselves and work harder for the organization. After so much been said on this issue, but there seems to be not even an action is taken... sad isn't it? sigh...

the World say goodbye to “Giovanni Paolo Santo'' ....

or "St John Paul"... he was cremated at a mass burial in a chapel near the tomb traditionally believed to be of the apostle Peter, the first pope. An excerpt from the article:

"Today, we bury his remains in the earth as a seed of immortality -- our hearts are full of sadness, yet at the same time of joyful hope and profound gratitude," Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger said in the homily during the Mass.

tm net outage...

No wonder i feel a sudden drop in my connection speed and sometimes lagging. I thought it was just me and my connection but didn't know it's a global issue. Till recently, when i came across jeff ooi's blog that i've known. OMG! Not again... I really quite tired and very pissed with the way things are done at tmnet. Just few weeks back, their customer service hotline was down and now line outage. Just by reading through jeff's blog, i think it's quite a serious thing and mostly we won't be getting a smooth connection till sometime end of next week or end of month. I hope the people in-charge would have sleepless nites trying their best to resolve it else people like us will start to get on their back... argggghhhhh.... things just get more and more horrible these days!!! TOTALLY AGREE WITH THE IDEA OF HAVING MORE PLAYERS IN OUR BROADBAND INDUSTRY.. u got my total support! *teach those big guys out there a lesson they'll only live to regret!*

verY bad sore-throat!

Was once again down with a bad and ugly sore-throat. Can feel the pain around my tonsil area all the way down my throat. I've been a regular victim of sore-throat since i was very young. Not too sure why and what causes it but at least i'll be down with sore-throat once every month. This time round could be contributed to the abrupt changes of weather and heaps of coffee intake to help myself stay awake and concentrated during my work. Sad to say i'm having an imperfect body which succumbs easily to sore throat not to mention that i perspire heavily all the time. Some say this may due to my heavy body metabolisme but i think it's something else. My sweat may account to 3-4 times what a normal person usually sweat and most of the time when people don't even drop a sweat but i was sweating and perspiring away. Sigh... Hmmm... I guess none of us are perfect but at least i hope my imperfection was not due to make me perspire and sweat all the way...i wish it's something less dramatic or caused less attention to me and my surroundings. sweat... yew! makes me look dirty and sticky... couldn't do much but trying my best to live with it... so if any of you need free vitamin D, do come over and get it from me? but you'll need to drink it fresh from the source! muahahahahaha... chill out 'n' have a wonderful weekend! and the saga continues... from the police side...

It's rather ridiculous and wasting time if even the police came in with their part of the story and denying the public side of story. I'm not too sure why there wasn't a report being made either by the 46 patrons or the owner itself, but i'm quite sure why they were reluctant to do so. Firstly, all the cops raided that shop with such a behaviour and also they event hand-cuffed two of the patrons which refused to show them their identity card unless the officer show them theirs. I don't see any wrong in doing so, why they need to be treated in such a violent way? I thought they(the policeman) need to always uphold their "mesra selalu" attitude to gain public confidence??? Rather disappointing right? That's why i feel that none even dare to made any further movement after seeing and hearing what had happened. sigh!!!

Rude Awakening @ cybercafe!

After reading this article, i feel even more unsafe with police around. Yeah, the author of the blog is right. It'll be better to hire thugs or gangster to look after our safety rather than those filthy policeman. At least, those gangster will treat us with respect and dignity. Really disappointed with how things are run around the police dept. Firsty, I read about how they raid people on the park saying that they are trying to catch those who "khalwat" but somehow rather they are just misusing their power for their own and now this. Raiding the cybercafe and treating the public as though they are some criminals. Don't mind I say, even criminals too deserved some respect. If they(the police) behaved in such an ill-mannered, then it makes no difference as compared to the criminals. If you know what i mean! I'm not sure whether pak lah's advice is heed or not but one i'm sure of is that since he made the announcement to make the police dept more transparent, there seems to be alot of ugly roots starting to surface from the police side and it's effecting and tarnishing the image of our society. I hope immediate and stringent actions are taken before our whole society collapse. Please, relevant parties either send or publish as many of these articles so that the police dept can start looking back on their action and make the necessary changes else it's going to destroy our whole community!!!

Quotes from people all around the world...

Although he already left us but his greatness will live on...

Pope left us a legacy to follow...

Last weekend was a slow and sad weekend as the world lost another leader. Someone with so much charisma and caring for the world and the people around it. Pope John Paul II passed away peacefully on Sunday Morning 4th April 2005 @ 3:37am. He left behind a great legacy which I think all of us especially the world great leaders should emulate and learn from him.

Are you home country buildings earthquake tolerable?

sad to say that ours not! sigh... which give me a shrivel all the way to my spines... wat if that quake with 9.0 Ritcher Scale(coupled with tsunami that happened on 26/12/2004) or the most recent one that happened @ nia, one of the west islands at indonensia with 8.5 Ritcher Scale hit us? I tink either one is enough to make the whole KL city *flat*... so wat's next? learn fr lesson and re-build the whole city with quake resistance? hmmm... i guess not rite? but wat else can they(our quake eng'r) do apart fr re-bldg them? although, i havent been keep in touch with my civil eng knowlegde nor books but i tink there should be a way to counter all this, best is to prevent it from happening. can we just add some kind of seismic support structure underneath each bldg? esp our most loved and priced towers of all -> Petronas Twin Tower - which represent our msia pride and spirit of "Malaysia Boleh!" so if we can build such a structure, again with the "Malaysia Boleh!", i'm sure we can do sthg abt tis b4 sthg really serious happens... of course, i'm not hoping nor predicting it'll since msia is not sitting directly on the epi center but prevention is better than cure rite? ;-)

alert: price hike for taxi and bus fares!!!

alert!alert!alert! yeah... for those frequent taxi and bus fans... eheheheh.... there will be a hike in the price from 1st may onwards... as for myself, a daily bus commuter feeling abit uneasy with the hikes but hope the increase is justifiable. can't blame them for increasing the price coz i tink they havent increase the price b4 for ages liao rite? or i'm mistaken? nway, as all of us know tt each day our living costs increases, therefore it's only fair there should be some kind of salary incr for those taxi and bus drivers. they too need to "cari makan" rite? unjustifiable? judge for urself then...

p/s: i hope tis is not some kind of april fool prank they r tryin to play on the public rite? ahem...ahem... who knows? but theStar wor? one of our most read national paper leh... don't tink they wan to jeopardise the trust the public put on them... but once again, who noes rite? ehehehehe... u judge for urself? :p

I'm BACK!!!

Yeah, i'm back! After 2.5 mths of MIA, finally i'm back home... feels good to be back. at least i can start to rave and rant abt the C&A and happenings around my life and the ppl ard me. ehehehehe... alwiz ready man! never feels that good to be back... The past 2.5 mths have been a busy and crazy mths. Started work a my new workplace @ earth9 and was settling myself there and getting used to the lifestyle and its environment. When i'm busy, i'm damn busy and when i'm free, sometimes can be very free loh... but as usual, as a productive staff i alwiz make myself busy by being proactive in doing my own little self-research and readings. sometimes, even spent times reading other ppl stuff just to get myself into the work mood. being too free can make a person vvv bored and lazy! yeah, these r the 2 worst things i've ever wanted to happen to myself. hmmm... so how am i performing so far? by the sounds of it, not too bad hor... looking forward to see more of myself here... ehehehehe... am i crazy? *blah!*

Simple living yields simply millions in savings(interesting!)

Many people who lead simple-living lifestyles are millionaires. Their wealth is the result of hard work, perseverance, planning and self-discipline.

Many people already lead simple-living lifestyles and don’t know it. And many of them are millionaires.

Proof can be found in the best-selling book, “The Millionaire Next Door,” by Thomas Stanley and William Danko. You’d never guess that the subject of millionaires could have anything to do with simple living, but it does.

Compulsive savers vs. the rest of us
The millionaires in this book were not born wealthy, nor do most of them have high-level, exotic jobs. What they do have are simple lifestyles! It’s the simple lifestyles, not the big paychecks that turned these people into millionaires. According to the book, their wealth is the result of hard work, perseverance, planning and most of all, self-discipline.

So why aren’t all of us hard-working souls rich?
Answer: We regularly and continually give our money away to other people so they can become wealthy, while we live paycheck to paycheck. We buy the latest cars, biggest houses, full wardrobes, daily espressos, high-tech gizmos and gadgets of all kinds. As a result, we’re on treadmills, never allowing ourselves the time to create the kind of lifestyle we want. On the other hand, the millionaires are described in the book as “compulsive savers and investors.” After surveying 1,115 millionaires around the country, authors Stanley and Danko came up with seven common denominators among those who successfully build wealth:

  1. They live well below their means.
  2. They allocate their time, energy and money efficiently, in ways conducive to building wealth.
  3. They believe that financial independence is more important than displaying high social status.
  4. Their parents did not provide economic outpatient care.
  5. Their adult children are economically self-sufficient.
  6. They are proficient in targeting market opportunities.
  7. They chose the right occupations.

This list represents simple living at its finest. Here’s why. Simple living is about living consciously and with a purpose. This means being in control of your money and your life. When you save your money rather than continue spending, you buy yourself control. Then you have a say in how you’d like to spend your time.

With money saved and invested, you can live for years without earning money, or you can at least afford yourself the luxury of working part-time. This is vastly different from living paycheck to paycheck. These millionaires have created lifestyles and jobs that are meaningful to them because they took a look at the big picture and made choices accordingly.

The millionaire next door
“The flashy millionaires glamorized by the media actually represent only a tiny minority of America’s rich,” Stanley and Danko say in the book. “Most of the truly wealthy in this country don’t live in Beverly Hills or on Park Avenue -- they live next door.”

The authors say that the typical wealthy individual is a businessman who has lived in the same town for all of his adult life, and owns a small factory, a chain of stores or a service company. He lives next door to people with a fraction of his wealth. Their survey indicated that while the paycheck to paycheck crowd drives new cars, most millionaires don’t. They’re not wearing expensive clothes and watches and their houses are relatively modest compared to their financial status.

You don’t need to be a millionaire to lead a simple life, and indeed, no one said that money equals happiness. But you can learn from millionaires how to get off the treadmill and create a satisfying life.
