FTA between Msia & Japan

soon all cars from japan will be much cheaper from 2008 onwards starting from end of this year where the tariff will slowly be reduced. sounds like a good deal for car buyers but not so for local car makers like PROTON and PERODUA. the market will only get more competitive with this agreement in place. no doubt the govt will do sthg abt this. like introducing the National Motor Policy, expected to be released next month. let see what will be the impact of all these... i hope we as a car buyer will be beneficial at the end of the day... *malaysia boleh*
