We gain independence 49 years ago,
National flag flying from as high as condo,
Showing the spirits of freedom not to be forgo,
Although some are still living with their ego,

Tunku our father of independence,
Not to be forgotten and always in remembrance,
He fought hard with defiance,
To gain us the freedom from the colonial influence,

Malaysia a country we love,
With our all our hearts we groove,
With determination and perseverance as our prove,
Even mountains we could move,

Flying the Jalur Gemilang with pride,
To show a nation of great stride,
Based on the 5 Rukun Negara principles we ride,
To keep in mind side-by-side,

Negaraku is our national anthem,
Singing aloud with the rhythm,
Making it sound like a poem,
For an instance forgetting all my problems,

Vision 2020 is our objective,
To reach there we need to be proactive,
To look beyond our imaginative,
Always stay positive and competitive,

She is made of a country of multi-ethnics,
Not to be undermine with grime politics,
Many try to hurt her with their crafty tactics,
But she will remain strong and static,

Patriotism is what is missing,
To be instill in our thinking,
Whether or not is to our liking,
To made her struggle worth defining!
